Start Now to Keep the Weight Off
During the Holidays

It's only the beginning of November and I've already heard my first holiday song on the radio. And while I think the radio station was playing it as a joke, I'm very serious when I say it doesn't hurt to start planning how you will stay on your weight loss plan during the holidays!

Here are a few tips I think you should keep in mind: 

  • Give yourself some insurance by exercising a little bit more. Do an extra 10 minutes at your next work out, take an extra walk in the evening with your family, or dance to a little music after dinner.
  • Let your friends, family, and colleagues know your following a healthy diet. When it comes time to choose restaurants or menu items for parties, they will know ahead of time to include healthier options.
  • Start collecting recipes of healthy appetizers, entrees or desserts now so you can be prepared when it's time to shop for parties or bring a dish to a party.
  • Remember that you're choosing not to eat certain foods this holiday season, you're not depriving yourself.

Recipe of the Week 

Cinnamon Bun Pancake

 

(Equivalent to 2 Ideal Protein Portions) 

For All Phases Of Ideal Diet

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Packet Ideal Protein Plain Crepe
  • Cinnamon and Splenda to taste
  • 1 Packet Ideal Protein Vanilla Pudding


Directions:

  • Make up a package of the Crepe, using enough water to make it slightly runny.
  • Spoon into a nonstick skillet.
  • Sprinkle the top with a mixture of cinnamon and splenda (amount depends on how much you like cinnamon!)
  • Make up the vanilla pudding with extra water so it's runny enough to pour, but not too thin. Pour over the Crepe.
  • If you miss cinnamon buns, this really is yummy!
