The Joy of Motherhood-If you need a giggle
I wanted to share a quick story about the sometimes crazy, but always wonderful job of being a mother.
With a 4 year old that's curious about everything, life in the car can get a bit crazy. "Mommy why do birds fly, Mommy why do you have to turn this way , Mommy why is the light green, Mommy why is that car orange?" By the end of the drive I am so ready to get out of the car and never answer another question. I just want to sit in silence while hiding in my closet. LOL Sadly it does not lock.
One day driving in our car we drive past the church where my grandfather was buried. My 9 year old casually waves and yells "Hello Gordy". {she finds comfort knowing there is a place that she can talk to him)however, my 4 year old looks at me with complete confusion. "Mommy who is she talking to?" I said your great grandfather, and then with all seriousness he says "Mommy, Is THAT HEAVEN" , I chuckled and said, ON NO but this is where we can visit him "Mommy but you said he was an angel" Oh he is honey. Then complete silence. No more questions, nothing. Something so complex and all I have to answer is three questions but we can ramble about why the stop light changes colors for 30 minutes. It was so sweet, the innocence of it all.
We all sat looking out the window just thinking our own thoughts. 15 minutes past, mind you 15 quite minutes and then, "Mommy where are we going" "Mommy why are we going there?". Ugg hear we go again.
Our Mother's Day wish for you all is to take the time...
To enjoy the fresh air, the sound of a laughing child, the beauty in a budding rose, the women around us!
Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life!
Enjoy Every Moment.
Have a wonderful month.
