Dear Friends,

I know it's clich� to say it, but I can't believe the holiday season is here already!  Before we start decking the halls, I'd like to take a moment to look back on the Fall season and acknowledge the contributions of our friends and supporters.
 
Thanks go out to all the hearty volunteers who worked the U of I football games.  Working in the CCHS concession stand or as stadium ushers, these folks gave up a good part of a Saturday (more than one for many of them) to help us keep food in the bowls at the shelter.  Many thanks to all!
 
Thanks to all who helped out with our both our Kitten Showers!  Lincoln Square Mall and Prairieland Feeds were generous hosts and our CCHS volunteers were fabulous caretakers and adoption counselors.  Thanks too, to all those who made donations and gave homes to our kittens.
 
Additional thanks to our team of tireless Buster Biscuit bakers, dog and cat toy makers, and vendors.  The CCHS booth at the Chris Cringle Craft Fair was very popular with the shoppers.  
 
And finally, thanks to all the boys and girls who have been collecting donations for CCHS in lieu of accepting gifts at their birthday parties.  The generosity of these young philanthropists is inspiring.
