O'Hare International Airport Welcomes Aeroponic Farming

Airports are not your typical source for fresh produce. In fact, it's one of the last places most people would associate with the word "fresh." But Chicago is looking to change that perception by opening the O'Hare Urban Garden. This 928-square-foot aeroponic garden, located on the mezzanine level of the second-busiest airport in the world, features nearly 50 different kinds of vegetables and herbs including sweet basil, habanero peppers, green beans, lettuce mix, thyme, oregano, and chives.
