Frost on the pumpkin this morning in San Angelo. Despite a week end of warm weather and slow hunting conditions, we managed to scratch out a good hunt on the Springer Ranch. The first few days were a bit slow, but a wet front, bringing cooler temperatures stimulated deer activity, and new mature bucks seem to be showing up daily.
Joe Waroquires's group from Pennsylvania enjoyed a productive and eventful hunt at the Upper Oxbow, taking a couple of nice "Trophies" and two great "Classic" type bucks, not to mention a bobcat. Joe claims that the entire group is looking forward to a return trip in 2012.
As you can see, we also continue to take a variety of nice animals down south, at H. Yturria Ranch. And don't forget, we are in the midst of scheduling our late winter / early spring hunts at H. Yturria for various exotics and turkeys during the spring season.
We still have room to schedule a few aoudad sheep hunters in January and February if any of you would be interested in sneaking in an exciting, and very rewarding hunt sometime in the near future.
And for those of you who may have attended one of our whitetail hunts this season, please be reminded that our re-booking policy allows you 30 days to send in a $300.00 Reservation Fee to hold your spot for next season.
Cheers,
Your Friends at WSI
