Frost on the pumpkin this morning in San Angelo.  Despite a week end of warm weather and slow hunting conditions, we managed to scratch out a good hunt on the Springer Ranch. The first few days were a bit slow, but a wet front, bringing cooler temperatures stimulated deer activity, and new mature bucks seem to be showing up daily.

Joe Waroquires's group from Pennsylvania enjoyed a productive and eventful hunt at the Upper Oxbow, taking a couple of nice "Trophies" and two great "Classic" type bucks, not to mention a bobcat.  Joe claims that the entire group is looking forward to a return trip in 2012.

As you can see, we also continue to take a variety of nice animals down south, at H. Yturria Ranch.  And don't forget, we are in the midst of scheduling our late winter / early spring hunts at H. Yturria for various exotics and turkeys during the spring season.

We still have room to schedule a few aoudad sheep hunters in January and February if any of you would be interested  in sneaking in an exciting, and very rewarding hunt sometime in the near future.

And for those of you who may have attended one of our whitetail hunts this season, please be reminded that our re-booking policy allows you 30 days to send in a $300.00 Reservation Fee to hold your spot for next season.

Cheers,

Your Friends at WSI

Making memories with a Father & Son hunt on the Upper Oxbow.  Brooks had the following to say about his hunt on the Upper Oxbow.  "This was surely a hunt of a lifetime for a 16 year old and his old dad.  The guides, Don and Chris are as good as it gets.  What a class act you have in place and once again thanks for a great outing."

One of the neat things about the H. Yturria Ranch in South Texas is the variety of game that is available.  It offers the chance to see native as well as exotic wildlife.  Below are pictures from the latest hunt with 2 of our newest hunters, Doug Pisano and Chuck Forbes.

After the hunt, Doug stated  "this had to be one of the finest guided hunting experiences that I have ever had.  The Yturria Ranch, the guides, and the game was top shelf in every sense of the word.  Chuck and I had the times of our lives!"

Chuck stated "I can't thank you guys enough for your professionalism and your customer service, I know I will be calling you soon to book a hunt for 2012."

Thanks guys, we are glad you had a great time!

The Upper Oxbow Ranch has a great facility, good food, warm hospitality and great big deer.  With all of that you get a great hunting experience! Below are pictures of our latest hunt taken the first of November, 2011.
