Spring turkey season has sprung. In addition to pursuing nilgai antelope, aoudad sheep, and a few other exotic game species, we have also been in hot pursuit of longbeards. Though dry conditions have stymied these birds enthusiasm for coming to a call, we are still having good success with our harvest. Look for our next Play by Play to feature a good selection of turkey harvest photos.
Cheers,
Your friends at WSI. |

WSI Guide Success
Never underestimate our guides. Ruben Fernandez is always pursuing game, whether it be terrestrial or aquatic. He is our "go-to" man to get it done.

Our aoudad hunting is still moving as fast as ever. We recently played host to the Fowlers, and as you can see, both Ben and Matt took very nice sheep, not to mention their dad, Randy. Once again this is one of the most underestimated challenging hunts in Texas.

Yep, the Chaparossa ranch has great turkey hunting. Last week we played host to a group of Remington and Acusport reps who came down to harvest turkey and javelina. Along for the ride was Haley Heath of Family Traditions which airs on the Sportmans Channel. More photos of this hunt to come in the future.

Two recent hunts uploaded to the WSI video page include west Texas aoudad and south Texas nilgai. Take a minute to view these two great hunts.

By any means, don't think that hunting slows down once the whitetail season is over. Many of WSI's best clients continue hunting throughout the spring months. The Yturria brings a wealth of hunting opportunites to each hunter. Mike Vaughan definitely took the task to hand and harvested great nilgai, Kafue lechwe, addax and gemsbok. Not to be outdone, his son Yance, took a few animals of his own. Next John Zent and Randy Brooks took a few great exotics of their own but not to be out done Tom Reynolds made a smooth transition into turkey season. Harvesting a mix bag of nilgai, feral hog, javelina, and turkey.
