Play by Play Hunt Report

wsi_header

After some blustery, cold conditions, we are finally enjoying some warm weather and some welcome radiant energy from some sunny days. Spring is getting here, fast.

As you can see, we have no cessation of hunting once our fall schedule comes to a halt, as we simply shift gears and focus our hunting activities on other critters.

It is still not to late to schedule your spring turkey hunt with us, nor is it too late, to get an aoudad or nilgai hunt on the books for the next few months. Give us a shout and we'll be happy to go over some options and dates with you.

Cheers,

Your friends at WSI.

WSI Client Feedback

Greg,  Presently I'm in Yuma visiting with family and will be back home in Alaska after Feb. 5th..  Just wanted to thank you for such a great experience with Jackie and Ben !  You have great people working for you.  I'm not used to having other people cater to me like they did and I'm greatful for everything they did. I had prepared myself both physically and mentally for a tough hunt so when everything happened as it did it made for a really amazing hunt.  Not often will everything work out as perfectly as it did especially when trying for an animal like Aoudad.  Thank you for everything.  When I get back home I will call you to set up shipping of the cape and horns and talk with you about another hunt with you guys sometime in the future.  Take care Greg and God bless.  Sincerely, Oscar Nelson

Thanks for the update and I can personally say that I have made "true" friends at WSI and everyone there goes the extra mile to ensure you and your hunting buddies have a good time.

Excellent job in 2010!  Keep up the good work!  Already looking forward to our hunt in 2011! (Lord willing).

Thanks again,

Rick Jackson

Greg,

Just wanted to let you know my son and I had a wonderful time this last weekend hunting with your staff at Punta on the Yturria.

I harvested a great Nilgai on the first evening on the ranch!!

Jackie Murphy was our guide and he represents you and your outfit well..

He is a nice, honest guy and I am looking forward to hunting with him again..

Also got to meet Rudy Bazan when we were tracking my Nilgai and he is a tremendous tracker and very willing to go above and beyond to help out..

Our camp cook, Domingo, also did a great job of keeping us well fed throughout our time there.

Not only did I harvest my first Nilgai, but my son also got to shoot his first javelina.

We counted up all the different species of game animals we seen and it was around 20 in 2.5 days on your ranches.. We visited La Chata, Punta and La Joya.

What great memories not only for my 10yr old son, but me as well..

I have included a few photos and would be glad to be a reference for you anytime.

I will be in touch as I plan to put together my wish list of animals to harvest from your beautiful ranches of South Texas.

Take care and talk to you soon.

WSI Client Success

WSI client Ron Grenadier sent us photos earlier this month of his aoudad he harvested with WSI and then entered at the local SCI banquet. We always welcome feedback from clients and appreciate the information provided, not only about WSI hunts, but their other excursions across the globe. As you can tell his aoudad was a brute and came in second "Best of Show".

West Texas Aoudad

Aoudad hunting has been fast and furious in 2011, and it appears that a west Texas hunt for big aoudad is begining to hit a fever pitch. Oscar Nelson made the trip from Alaska and was well rewarded. Ten days later, during the monster cold front that came through in early February, friends Alan Bratton and Jim Lines took to the mountains and scored on two big rams.

Mule deer hunts from the A.S. Gage Ranch have just been added to the video page....you will not want to miss these. Don't forget to check out our latest video of south Texas hunts on the La Rucia Ranch. Soon to follow will be west Texas aoudad and south Texas nilgai.

H. Yturria Ranch

Just because deer season is over doesn't mean that the hunting has to slow down. And for WSI we go nonstop from September till May.

It may be snowing up north but things are heating up for us down south. The Yturria Ranch comes alive with nilgai hunts from December through May. As you can tell there is great mix of animals being harvested down there, and this, is another way to extend your hunting season.
