We continue to work through our fall hunting schedule, with multiple hunting camps being operated at any given time on a weekly basis. Our guides are turning up some quality animals on a daily basis, and as a whole, the 2010 season is proving to be a good one.
As we get well into our season, but with a large balance of work left to be done before the end of the year, it can sometimes feel like we are climbing a mountain with no summit in sight. Indeed, our fall schedule can be a marathon, and the candle is often burning at both ends. Each season, there is often an ebb of high and low points, and as we all know, low points sometimes tests our resolve, and the psychological aspects of maintaining focus, enthusiasm, and objectivity can be challenging.
We all need energy pills, from time to time, and these meds do not always come in the form of rest, or as a dietary supplement. Here at WSI, our energy pill is occassionally in the form of emails and notes that we receive from our valued clients who have recently spent time in our camps. It is amazing how we can feel like their batteries have been depleted, to morphing where there is a big stride in our step, and a smile on our face, simply due to some positive feedback.
This Play By Play is laced with a few very nice pieces of feedback we have recently received. Thanks so much for you kind words, and the kind of words that make our job so rewarding.
Here's a toast to a great remainder of our 2010 fall schedule. Cheers. |

WSI 2010 Client Feedback
Greg, The Aoudad hunt that my dad and I just had was our favorite hunt. The guides were knowledgeable and worked hard for us. My guide, Michael, did a great job on the hunting and was a fun person to spend the day. Jackie and Michael are good ambassadors for your company. The food on this trip was the best we ever ate on a hunting trip. Trey is a great cook and keeps the camp interesting. Michael has done a great job with followup. He already emailed me pictures that I requested. Thanks, Barry PS - My dad and I are looking at a Nilgai or an antelope (pronghorn).
Greg/Deborah/Justin,
Thanks again for another fantastic experience. It was a great antelope camp and Cindy was sad to leave it. I doubt there could have been a better introduction to hunting for Cindy than Jackie's camp. He and Mike, and Cade, and David really put her at ease. Another couple was on their first guided hunt and I'm not sure they "trusted" the whole process...WSI did a fine job of making sure that they had a great time.
We enjoyed working with the biologist and TPW; it was an added memory.

Wildlife Systems, Inc. Videos
The Wildlife Systems, Real Hunts with Real Hunters video page is up and running and quickly gaining a large auidence. It is currently our fifth most viewed page on our website. These videos can also be viewed on our Youtube site. Current videos include an 02 Ranch aoudad hunt, a Catto-Gage Ranch antelope hunt that was added on Oct. 30 and our first whitetail hunt of the year was posted earlier this morning. This whitetail hunt occurs on the Upper Oxbow Ranch. This hunt is part 1 of a 2 part series. The second part will be added in the next few days. |

S Ranch
The S Ranch proved once again to produce some great trophies for long time WIldlife Systems clients. Additional benefits included a great, wild Texas hog harvested by George Jackson and an almost near white, whitetail buck harvested by Victoria Steedley. Victoria actually saw this buck last year but did not have a chance to harvest it. This year she made the most of her opportunity. These hunts will be part of our Real Hunts with Real Hunters, and will be posted in December.

H. Yturria Ranch
The Yturria Ranch proved once again to produce a trophy for long time WSI client Jack Sheffey, who has a passion for harvesting big eland. Jack's good friend Don Isgar joined the hunt and harvested a great nilgai bull and Kafue lechwe. Look for this hunt to be posted on the WSI website in late December.....Jack Sheffey's comments below.
Greg -
I'll get you a full set of photos, video and a report, had a great hunt with Rudy.
Looking forward to seeing Ben's footage.

Longbranch Ranch
I'll let our hunters describe this hunt..... FYI, this hunt will be on the WSI website in late November.
Greg, One word describes our hunt at the Longbranch this year! WOW!!! In 40 years of hunting, I finally got my best trophy ever, and only my 2nd 10 pointer of my life. What a deer, what a great time!! All four of us had a blast and harvested nice deer. Our guides, Mike and Allen, along with David our cook, made our trip spectacular and a trip we all won't forget. I can't say enough about those guys! First class gentlemen! Doc Wallace made our hunt special, too! His visits, and his time with us were just... WONDERFUL! He personally gave us a tour of his ranch and we all enjoyed him so well we watched the A&M/Oklahoma game with him and we are all "Aggie" fans now!! His special touch added much to our hunt. Thanks again for everything and we will be in touch within the next 30 days! We are planning on rebooking this hunt for 2011. (Lord willing) Rick Jackson

O Cross Ranch
The O Cross ranch has continued to produce quality animals. WSI client Larry Larson found himself in the right spot to harvest this heavy horned, 151" inch typical 10 point that also sported a very nice forked G2....no doubt he made the right choice on this deer.
