Play by Play Hunt Report

"I guess you are getting ready to get busy," are the kind of comments I've been receiving over the last week. Indeed, our regular rifle deer season begins this coming Saturday and, for sure, we will be busy. However, it amuses me as to how few people realize how early we get ramped up with our fall schedule. Between special permits which provide an extended deer season, our pronghorn season in early October, plus exotic hunts that we do in September and October, as well as September dove season, we are generally cranking at a pretty fast clip by September 1.

I hope you will enjoy the photos in this WSI Play By Play Hunt Report. As you can see, our clients continue to take some very fine animals.

Quick question, and request for response. Under our new layout and design of our Play By Play, we construct it under our Constant Contact service provider, and we must consequently send our PBP to our email list before we can post it on our website under the News header. This time of the year, we generate a PBP as often as once a week, meaning you receive this PBP news piece from us once a week. Our question is, do you object to receiving this PBP news piece this often, or do you like the timely and regular receipt of this?

Additionally, we do still have a few openings on our La Rucia Ranch whitetail hunts for December. In fact, we have a couple of openings on our first hunt, scheduled for December 1 - 4, which is when outdoor celebrity, Bob Foulkrod will be there filming a television show. Bob has hunted the La Rucia several times, and this is your chance to rub elbows with one of the outdoor industries most prominent individuals.

So, please give us a shout if you're interested in booking a hunt on this exceptional whitetail property. We have included some photos below of deer photographed recently on our heliocopter survey, as well as a few shots of Foulkrod with La Rucia Ranch bucks he has harvested over the past few years.

Upper Oxbow Ranch

The Upper Oxbow Ranch strikes again as WSI clients find plenty of antler to be excited about. If rebookings are any indication of clients approval, the Upper Oxbow holds its own ground, as deposits for the 2011 season are already being received daily.

S Ranch

Rainfall makes a world of difference in antler growth. The S Ranch, located near San Angelo is continuing to produce quality whitetails this season, following great winter and spring precipitation.

Longbranch Ranch

Like the S Ranch, the Longbranch ranch located in the Texas hill country, continues to produce exceptional trophies for WSI clients. Both Rod and Ron were able to take to two great hill country whitetails.
