Play by Play Hunt Report

wsi_header
Somehow October has flown by. I guess that happens when you have 20 hunters in the field at a time, at multiple camps.  Amazingly, we still have a couple of spots left on one of our best whitetail properties in south Texas, that being the La Rucia Ranch. So, if you are looking for an opportunity at a great whitetail, now is the time to call.

Our next Play by Play will feature photos from the S Ranch, Longbranch Ranch, and the Upper Oxbow, so stay tuned.

02 Ranch Aoudad

What can you say about aoudad, except that they are really cool animals, and offer one heck of a great hunt.  Ron and Barry Sullivan decided to take the challenge and see if they could conquer aoudad country. As you can tell, they did it well. These photos don't do the animals justice. Ron's aoudad had great spread, for and Barry's is super tight and heavy.  If you ever wanted to know if WSI puts on a great aoudad hunt, just ask Ron or Barry, and they will be more than happy to talk about their experience.

02 Ranch

La Joya Ranch

What can you say about south Texas, except that is always grows big deer. Darrel Lewis took this exceptional 162" deer last week on the La Joya ranch. Good mass, good tines, good spread...typical great south Texas deer.
La Joya
O Cross Ranch

Your right, Peter Lynch likes hunting and we are glad he likes hunting with WSI. Peter booked both a Classic and a Trophy hunt, and as you can see, he did well.  The bonus was the feral hog...which as you know Texas has plenty of. Fortson Turner and his daughter Rebecca also got in on the O Cross whitetail action, with her being booked on a Classic hunt, and she knocked down a nice mid 130's class 9 point.
