What's Hot for 2008? Widgets of Course.
 If you haven't heard about widgets for the
Web yet, you will. They're little programs you can slip right into a
website to add value and make your site more
interactive. Widgetbox is one source, and there are many others.
And there are sites that let you modify your own. See
how I've used the Upcoming.org widget to list events on my website (in the left sidebar). You
can also go to the bottom of my contact page to see my favorite
coffee shops that I keep in Yelp.
If you're looking for new advertising real estate, try Clearspring for a service that puts ads on widgets. Expect these little devils to pop up all over the Web-o-sphere in 2008. |
