Local Search Matters
Beyond promoting your site through search engines that target the entire Web, you can get free and low-cost listings in local search engines. This allows you to be found by people looking for local products and services, and gives you the ability to stand apart from competitors in other locations.

When placing information, use geographically and culturally relevant descriptions, i.e., the Eastside, Emerald City, etc., to help distinguish you from national companies.
