This summer's selection is Just Courage by Gary Haugen. He is the president and CEO of International Justice Mission (IJM), a human rights organization based in Washington, D.C. Haugen writes about how to live a life of significance and adventure by expanding our vision of God and by learning to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God ($10). |

Fathered - Movie Night - October 5
Mark your calendars for this FUN, family-friendly event!
Fathered, a group focused on adoption, foster care, and orphan care, is partnering with West End Presbyterian's orphan care ministry (Love on a Mission) to bring a free movie night to the Richmond community.
On Friday, October 5 at 7:00 pm, we will be showing:
 "October Baby" for teens and adults.
"Chimpanzee" for children who are able to sit through a movie. We will have teenagers to supervise, but recommend that childcare arrangements be made for little ones.
Free popcorn! Drinks and candy available for purchase!

Homeschooling Families - Every Tuesday Morning
Come join other homeschooling families with elementary-
aged children and their siblings for a fun, structured school time. Enjoy art, show and tell, games, learning, and playtime with friends.

World Impact - Sponsor Appreciation Dinner & Special Speaker - This Sunday

The Book on Love

The Book on Love is a weekend of teaching and discovery for any couple about what the Bible says about marriage. Join our Sr. Pastor David Dwight and other facilitators and speakers on Thursday and Friday evenings, October 11 & 12 from 7:00-9:30 pm and Saturday, October 13 from 8:30 am -3:30 pm. New Saturday Service!!
On October 20, at 5:30 pm at the HOPE 15 Celebration
we will be starting our first new Saturday service which will have full children's ministry. Our hope is that this will be an ongoing additional service to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ - so please plan to invite friends to come along with you!

Basketball League
Sign up by October 12
Basketball season starts November 5. We play one game per week (played either Monday or Thursday) from 6:00-9:00 pm. Cost for the league is approximately $25 per player if you live in Henrico, and $40 if you live outside the County.
If you are interested in playing on a team, stop by the sign-up table in the concourse after Sunday morning services or send your name, address, county of residence and cell phone number to barryisenberg@msn.com.
Also, let Barry know if you can arrange a court for practice. We will have several practices in October if we can find a court!
