Summer Reading
|
Since reading is a key part of spiritual formation, the staff at HOPE recommend one or two books each quarter for you to read with a group of friends or on your own. This summer's selection is Just Courage by Gary Haugen. He is the president and CEO of International Justice Mission (IJM), a human rights organization based in Washington, D.C. Haugen writes about how to live a life of significance and adventure by expanding our vision of God and by learning to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God ($10). |

"I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something I can do."

My Father's Work

Thanks to all who participated in My Father's Work as we raised over $31,000 for IJM! That's a lot of people freed from slavery! We also gave almost $5,000 through the Freedom Market and 61 Compassion children were sponsored during the month as well. Another successful missions month at Hope!
