Blood DriveAt this time of year the supply of blood at the Virginia Blood Bank is very low. On January 7 we will be having a blood drive at HOPE Thrift. If you would like to schedule a time to donate please Contact the Hope Office, 708.5330.
GroupLink - Life is Better Connected
January 8, 6:15pm - This Sunday!

GroupLinkThe beginning of a new year is a great time to get connected by becoming part of a small group at Hope. Join us for a GroupLink event on January 8 at 6:15pm.  In a small group, you will study God's word and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where you will pray, care for one another, and be missed if you don't show up. Find out more and register online or at the welcome desk on Sunday.
Apprentice II
Begins January 15

Apprentice II

Apprentice II is the second in a series of classes based on the idea of being an apprentice or student of Jesus. Participants will explore the good life that Jesus taught about in the Sermon on the Mount. The class will meet on Sundays at 5pm, beginning on January 15. Participants who have taken Apprentice I may register online or email questions to classes@hopecentral.com.

ThriveAll women are invited to begin a new year of Thrive! A place to connect, learn and grow on Thursdays beginning January 19, 10am or 7pm.  Let us know you're coming and/or reserve a place for your children at women@hopecentral.com.
Perspectives

 

What is God's perspective on the world?     

Perspectives ClassIf you're curious about Perspectives but haven't decided, come out Jan. 3 at 6:30-8:00 pm for the information and registration night.  Bring a friend and learn more about the course.  Registration is open until Jan. 17.

 

Hope will host the course Tuesday, Jan. 3 through May 1 6:30-9:30 pm. The cost is $250. Learn more and register online. Questions? Contact Nancy Friesen for more information.  Be ruined for the ordinary!       

Winter Reading Selection

      

Winter Reading

Each quarter the pastors recommend a book for people to read. In Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, readers are invited to experience the peace and presence of Christ in their daily lives. This modern devotional classic contains a year's worth of daily readings and is available at the Welcome Desk in an adult's and  children's version. ($10).

Births, Deaths and Marriages     

Please keep the family of Debra Pitts in your prayers. Debra passed away December 22, 2011. A memorial service will be held January 7 at 11am at Hope.
