Don says, "David was really strong until the last five miles, and even then, he was able to maintain his goal pace despite the fatigue. He also had a tremendously strong finish in the last quarter mile. He bolted so fast that his parents were only able to get a picture of him from behind." The L.A. marathon had a good turnout and excellent weather this year. 18,856 runners finished the race. David came in 1,778th, and he finished 32nd out of 712 in his age group. Congratulations David!
- Outdoor Leadership and the Senior Cabin: Outdoor Leadership recently took a day trip followed by a hard luck trip to the senior cabin. The senior cabin (one of the old freshmen cabins was moved to the base of Grass Mountain by the class of 1996), has been in need of some TLC since a tree fell upon it earlier this winter. We made some basic repairs to shore up some broken rafters and patch significant holes in the roof. The cabin will need some more significant work in the next year, but the work of the Outdoor Leadership students will carry it through the rest of the winter.
