MIDLAND MINUTES
  • OCTOBER BREAK INFORMATION: Important reminders: Break begins Saturday morning, October 22nd at 8:00 AM. Reservations should depart Santa Barbara NO EARLIER than 8:00 AM. Break ends Sunday afternoon, October 30th.  Students must be in attendance at the 6:00 PM Assembly before dinner. Arrival in Santa Barbara NO LATER than 4:00 PM is advised. Friday departure after the 6:00 PM Assembly is allowed only for students being picked up by parents.

  • DMV ID Card: Please visit the DVM and get an official ID card for your child if you have not already done so. This is a Midland requirement for travel. Otherwise, your child's passport will need to be on file at Midland. Most commercial travel requires an official ID and Student ID cards have become useless and are often not acceptable since they are easy to fabricate by copying a logo off a website. The DMV ID solves this problem.  Parents often think they will drive to Midland for every break, but practically speaking this is not the case. Students may travel home with friends, or family plans change which require students to take the train, bus or plane on occasion.  Thank you for looking after this important requirement.
