Opening Days for the 2011-12 School Year
Sunny at Opening days
Sunny Pang '14 with Kyle and Roddy Taylor on Kimpton Field
On September 9th, 2011, new students arrived and joined Midland seniors and international students in order to adjust to life on campus before classes on September 12th. The hustle and bustle of students and faculty brought the campus back to life and families, faculty and seniors made introductions, joined in activities on the field and enjoyed a BBQ including produce from Midland's garden as well as Midland beef and pork. Parents left, and students and faculty members played games in Stillman and enjoyed make-your-own sundaes. We are looking forward to a great year!
School Prefects 2011-12
School Prefects 2011-12
Marcus Schmidt and Savannah Bryant

This year's School Prefects are Marcus Schmidt and Savannah Bryant.

Marcus states, "Being at Midland these past three years has allowed me to see the many benefits and advantages to being it such a unique community. Not only are students encouraged to aspire academically, they're also taught traditional values while simultaneously developing a progressive way of thinking and fostering leadership potential. In terms of education, there's not much more that you could ask for, which is why I believe what is learned here truly is invaluable and will help create the forward thinking individuals of tomorrow."

Savannah adds, "Even though Midland lacks in the wands, spells, and Quidditch matches of Hogwarts, this school forms a community that promotes self-reliance and sustainability, and recognizes the qualities and talents of every single individual.  Now that's magic!"

New Faculty Members

New Members on Midland's Board of Trustees

Midland's Board of Trustees meets three times a year on campus, where they're able to spend some time with students in addition to making important decisions for Midland's present and future.

"As they step down from their commitment to Midland, we wish to thank Paul O'Leary '75 and Brian Marshall '80 for their dedication and years of service to the Board of Trustees and Midland School." - Nick Alexander '60, Board President and Chair.

This year, we welcome two new Board members, Cymbre Thomas '03 and Ruth Fisher.
