MIDLAND MINUTES
  • Let it Snow! February brought a fair amount of snowfall. Although not as much as anticipated, it did bring a light dusting to Grass Mountain.

  • Spring Season Horse Program: The Spring Horse (and Mule) Program has begun!  Rain has slowed things down a bit, but students are busily learning the basics of gathering up their horses, bringing them in to the barn, and preparing them for a lesson.
  • Spring Season Outdoor Leadership: The students in Outdoor Leadership this Spring sports season participated in various activities this week. These photos are of students pitching a tent and playing a balancing game called "Blazo."

  • Student Website Advisory Group (SWAG): Several students have formed SWAG and meet with Karen Readey each week to make improvements and updates to Midland's website. Look for new features created by students as well.

  • More Press for Midland Horse Program: The Foal Training Class is featured in the March issue of California Riding magazine and on The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) website under "School News."

  • Athletics: Lacrosse - Practice is in full swing and the first games are next weekend. See Midland's sports section online for the Lacrosse schedules and updated photographs.
