- Secret Santas: Monday, November 29th marked the first day of Midland's Annual Secret Santa Gift Exchange. Students and faculty members draw a name, and give gifts to the recipient secretly (with help from Midland elves) over 2 weeks. Secret Santas are revealed tonight at the Holiday Banquet.
- Holiday Banquet: Friday evening is the Annual Midland Holiday Banquet for students and faculty members.
- Cow Herding for One: Coulter, Ben '79 and Laurie Munger's dog, can't help but follow his natural instincts. Librarian Susan Thompson caught him in action - herding one cow - but he was very focused.
- The Library Advisory Board students hosted a card-making club this morning. Students were able to make cards for the Secret Santa revealing tonight, as well as for family members and friends. Holiday music and hot chocolate provided a festive atmosphere.
- Marine Biology Field Trip: On Sunday, December 5th, the Marine Biology class visited the elephant seals in San Simeon, then explored the richly diverse rocky intertidal at Hazards Canyon at Montana de Oro State Park. It was a great day, and the class lucked out on the weather, getting in a good low tide before a winter storm descended upon the coast.
