While everyone is sitting in class, working on a research paper, or taking a test, the Midland dogs are out playing all day, getting attention from a number of students, chasing squirrels, barking at the bell, or simply taking a nap. In Don Redl's Statistics class, our students tracked five different dogs to uncover their secret lives.

| We are saddened to report...
Helen Wilkinson Brown passed away on September 25, 2010, in Friday Harbor, WA at age 95. Her son David, of San Juan Island, visited her daily during her four years at Islands Convalescent Center.In 1957 Helen's husband Kenneth took a teaching post at Midland School, where Helen worked in the school library until their retirement in 1974. Read her obituary.
