Let Your Gift Say "I'll Remember You"
| When
someone who has touched your life passes away, you typically may send
flowers to mark our remembrance of the person's life. But here is a
lasting way to say "I'll remember you" and make a difference. You can create a memorial by making a donation today to Midland School or
by leaving us a gift through your will or living trust.

Farewell Heavy Metal
| | Midland Horse Heavy Metal dedicated his life to our Horse
Program. Heavy left us this summer, his passing couldn't have been more
peaceful. For those of you who didn't know Heavy Metal, he was not just any horse, he was the herd leader. A tall noble gray Thoroughbred/Arab cross. He was born in 1972 making him 37! He will be
forever missed and loved. |

In Memoriam
| We are saddened to report...
Jane Wilgress passed away on July 20, 2010. Jane and her husband John joined the Midland community in 1939. After a stint away from Midland and her husband's passing, Jane returned to Midland as the librarian from 1966-1972. Jane was an unparalleled Midland archivist. Read her obituary.
Eric Malnic '54 passed away on July 27, 2010. During a five-decade career, Malnic was part of the team that won The L.A. Times a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the 1965 riots. He later became noted for his coverage of aviation issues. "Besides being very bright and a competent reporter, he loved to tell stories of his Midland experiences," said Bob Gillespie '57.
