On Saturday, May 15, 2010, Midland hosted a wonderful event to celebrate the Conservation Easement secured in 2009 with The Trust for Public Land and the Santa Barbara Land Trust.

6th Annual Triathlon

Wednesday, May 19, 2010 marked Midland's 6th Annual Triathlon, organized by Don Redl.  14 teams comprised of students and faculty competed. The course consists of swimming six laps in the Reservoir, a 4.5-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run. The first place team was Beau Lino '10 (swim), Chris Rea (bike) and Peter King '12 (run).

  • ALUMS - Submit your photos to be included in  Midland Online Photo Albums by Decade.

  • Tom Mone '72, CEO and EVP of the OneLegacy, will be honored by The National Health Foundation (NHF) in association with the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC), on June 1, 2010 in a Celebration of Leadership, Vision, and Commitment at The Petersen Automotive Museum.  This premier Tribute Dinner Event will gather the leaders and executives of the health care industry to honor a colleague whose career has exemplified dedication to special populations in need. Congratulations!

  • Anthony Anderson '81 is living in Seattle, WA, can can be found online.

  • David Anders '90 lives in Alameda, CA, now and enjoys working as a cook for an upstart company called New Era Foods that caters to local charter schools and halfway houses.

In Memoriam

We are saddened to report that A. Warren Smith, Jr., '42, passed away on Monday, May 17.  He had broken his hip in early January and then developed pneumonia.  He died from complications of his illness.
