Whole Lotta Camping Going On
Hye-min Lee '10 and Kirby Kersels '13 enjoy a hike
Hiking and Camping

Incredible weather following a wetter-than-usual winter has inspired Midlanders to get out on the property to hike, camp and see the wildflowers. Some recent camping excursions include 5 seniors on their own adventure, a freshman group with Midland 102 class, and 7 students (with representatives from all 4 classes) and Derek Svennungsen on an overnight trip.

See more camping highlights.
Midland 101 Conservation Project Completed

For the final conservation project for Midland 101 in 2009-10, the freshman class completed the process of protecting Red Rock Spring from trampling by cattle. The water quality will be improved for wildlife and cattle and the native grasses protected in the wetland below the spring. The project includes an exclusion fence that protects half an acre of wetlands.

Support Midland's First Yearbook
This student led project will be hardcover, printed on 30% PCW recycled paper, 80 pages, and created using InDesign CS4.  Please help support the yearbook by purchasing an advertisement for your business that will be a part of the book. Ads/messages can be business card sized to full page sized; please view the advertising form for sizing prices.  Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of time before the yearbook is supposed to go off to printing, so please e-mail Mariah Chen '11 ASAP regarding any interest or questions.  Mariah would be happy to work with you; all you need to do is provide a direction.  Thanks for your consideration.
