  • This coming Sunday following Work Period, Savannah Bryant '12 will give a cello recital with her instructor in Long House.


  • Faculty member Ian Cummings is appearing in Valley Community Theatre's production of "Enchanted April," which will be performed at the Los Olivos Grange Hall at 7:30 PM March 5-7 and 12-14. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 at the Book Loft, Santa Ynez Valley Coffee Company, or El Rancho Market.


  • APPLAUSE Art Competition: Today is the deadline for the APPLAUSE Art Competition in the Santa Ynez Valley, an opportunity for students to submit their work for review in three categories: performing, literary and visual arts.


  • Ben '79 and Laurie Munger are leading a Manzana-Sisquoc Loop hike today through Tuesday. Hiking with them are Geology students and seniors Ross Kellogg, Andrew Hurley, Colin Weaver, Joey Hermosillo, Cameron DeLapp, Jarrett Van Meter, Sheridan Stegner, Blaze Elation and Becca Towne.


  • On Friday, March 6th, Martina Svennungsen is taking several students to see a presentation on Darfur in Lompoc.


  • Senior Symposium: On Wednesday, all seniors did a fantastic job presenting their theses topics to the entire school.


  • On Monday, nine prospective students and their families visited Midland. Thanks to all those who hosted. Please continue to send great families to Midland!


  • Midland's San Francisco Gathering last Friday brought over 80 Midlanders together!


  • Athletics:
    Lacrosse season is here... The first games are next Saturday, March 14th.
