Cousteau: On Monday night faculty
member Shawn McVicar took a group of six
students to a talk by Jean Michel and Celine
Cousteau, son and granddaughter of Jacques.
They spoke of their recent trip to the Amazon

spoke of trips to the Caribbean, Alaska, and
the South Pacific. They highlighted a few
select animal species and the causes of their

illustrated with film footage from upcoming
documentaries. Shawn reports, "It was a treat
to hear from two generations of the Cousteau
family, one of the most influential voices in
marine ecosystem conservation."
