The weather seems almost like spring....

This month starts new running and triathlon training classes: Water Running, Half-Marathon training, Cycle+Run workout, Indoor Triathlon Prep Training, and the second Indoor Triathlon of 2012 on Feb 26.

I hope you can join with us. Remember, the 2012 race season is rapidly approaching. 
 
2011 Indoor Triathlon Series
RecPlex Indoor Triathlon Prep Training

New to triathlons or ready to get a start on the 2012 race season? These workouts will prepare you for our Indoor Triathlons; each session will cover aspects of the the Indoor Tri's swim, bike, run & transitions. At the end of your session you'll compete in one of our races.

  

Training class fee includes entry into the Indoor Triathlon!

Running Water
Take you running shoes off & jump in the pool. Great for runners who need to take a break from the pavement or are recovering from an injury. The class aims to aid runners and athletes by offering a low impact cardiovascular and strength workout to enhance their current programs.

Cycle, Run, Repeat
New name for our popular Brick training. An aerobic and anaerobic workout of cycling and run intervals, guaranteed to get you sweating!
Sunday mornings, 8:30-10:00am.

Half Marathon Training - Wisconsin Half Marathon
Training program for advanced beginner to advanced runners preparing for the Wisconsin Half Marathon in Kenosha on Saturday, May 5. All participants will receive a detailed training plan based on their current run levels and/or half marathon goals, run and racing lectures, and group workouts.

FREE New Triathlete Clinic
Join the growing rank of triathletes from the age of 7 to 70. Even if you've never swum in a lake, ridden a bike more than a few miles, or even run a mile, you can train to complete a triathlon this summer - including the Danskin Women's Triathlon and Pleasant Prairie Triathlon and Junior Triathlons, all held in Pleasant Prairie. This clinic will teach you what you need to know to get started.

Amazing Arms and Abs @ MCC

Taught at McHenry County College, Crystal Lake, IL

  

Get more defined biceps, triceps, stronger shoulders and upper back, as well as strengthen, define, and tone the abdominals and glutes, using bodyweight exercises, light weights and yoga posses. By the end of our five-week session, if you do the work, you'll see the full-body difference. Class will include a warm up and cool down. Please bring a yoga-type mat and a set of light (2 to 6 lb) dumbbells.
