Hello!
Wow! What a ride 2008 took us on. I don't know about you, but I am looking forward with renewed inspiration to the new year. Let's maximize on this past year and personally "take inventory" and make adjustments for this "new economy" we are in. How about you? I'd like you start by Taking Inventory ... of Yourself. See how to begin this process by looking at your assets and how you can better utilize them in the upcoming year.
All my best to you for a newly inspired year!

Taking Inventory - of Yourself
Do you have valuable assets that you haven't used this year just sitting on your shelves -- or what about those great ideas in your head? As the year comes to an end, it's traditionally time for businesses to take an annual inventory of physical products. What about your internal, or personal assets - your capabilities, roles and work-related responsibilities? How can you turn those assets around in 2009? Are they taxing you heavily by not being used?
This last week of 2008, I challenge you to take an inventory of your past year to see what roles were significant growth opportunities that you can take as opportunities to build on in 2009. Did you take on a volunteer project that stretched your talents a bit and you liked it? Also, recognize some more difficult, or even time-wasting roles that you can make a commitment to let go of in the New Year. For example, were you the go to person for the office copier and you're a "department manager"?

How to Prepare the List
To start this process, begin by taking 2-3 days over the holiday break to build your list. After review and reflection it's okay to add to it and make adjustments. After you have completed your list, ask yourself, "How do these roles make me feel?"
A. My life is amazing, everything has fallen into place. B. The roles are part of my life goals and I'm gradually getting stronger and more focused. C. I wish I could delete some of my past roles and start over from the beginning. D. I never thought about it, I'm on auto-pilot. I'd like to invite you - even challenge you - to email me if you'd like to share your inventory list. This exercise can help you identify what may be holding you back from being as effective, and happy, as possible in your life. Together, we can develop a plan for next year to help you achieve the feeling of focus and control which in turn will jumpstart your self esteem and confidence for the New Year.
