20+ Types of New Hops!
US AHTANUM: Typical alpha: 7.0-9.0%. Citrus-zest character for moderate bittering and aroma in American ales.
US CITRA: Typical alpha: 10-12%. Musky tropical fruit and strong citrus make this a great flavor/aroma hop.
US FALCONER'S FLIGHT: Falconer's Flight is an exclusive proprietary hop blend created by Hop Union to honor and support the legacy of Northwest brewing legend, Glen Hay Falconer, who passed in 2002. The blend is comprised of many of the Northwest's most unique hop varieties, including Citra, Simcoe, and Sorachi Ace along with experimental hops and numerous other NW varieties. Perfect for any Northwest-style IPA. Each hop has been hand selected for its superior aromatic qualities, imparting distinct tropical, citrus, floral, lemon and grapefruit tones. A portion of the proceeds go to support the Falconer Foundation, which supports brewers and brewing. Approximate Alpha Acid 10.5%.
US MT RAINIER: A Pacific Northwest hop with diverse parentage, Mt. Rainier has a Hallertauer-like character but with relatively high alpha acids and aromas of licorice and citrus. Typical alpha: around 6%.
US NEWPORT: Typical alpha: 12.0-14.0%. Super-high alpha hop with an earthy, slightly resinous aroma-sometimes described as "new mown hay." US PALISADE: Typical alpha: 5.5 - 9.5%. An aroma variety with Tettnang parentage, bred in the Yakima Valley. Very pronounced and pleasant fruity, non-citrusy, aroma with earthy undertones. Use for aroma and moderate bittering additions in American or English ale styles. US SANTIAM: Typical alpha: 5.5-7.0% A seedless aroma hop bred from Tettnanger, Mittelfruh, and an American variety. Spicy, herbal and floral. Use for lagers, wheat beers, and Belgian ales. US VANGUARD: Typical alpha: 5.0-7.0%. Sweet, slightly spicy aroma and flavor. Use as a kettle addition in lagers or Belgian ales. US ZYTHOS: Typical Alpha: 10-12%. A proprietary blend of hops from HopUnion, designed for complex flavor in IPAs and similar hoppy American styles. Zythos is strongly aromatic, with tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, and pine notes. Try it in place of Amarillo, Sorachi Ace, or Simcoe. FRENCH STRISSELSPALT: Typical alpha: 2.0-3.5%. Very mild with hoppy, blackcurrant character. Classic for Belgian and French ales. GERMAN HERKULES: Typical alpha: 12-17%. High-alpha bittering hop with pronounced spicy profile. GERMAN TRADITION: Typical alpha: 5.0-7.0%. Refined sweet floral and herbal character. Aroma/flavor addition for any German beer NZ MOTUEKA: Typical alpha: 6.5-7.5%. Saaz descendent with tropical citrus notes. Use for European-style lagers.
NZ PACIFIC HALLERTAU: Typical alpha: 5-6%. AKA Pacifica. "Fingerprint" replica of Hallertau Mittelfruh with floral and citrus notes.
