Are You an Accidental Bookkeeper?

If you are in charge of keeping the books for your business, or are a bookkeeper that wants to brush up on critical concepts and ideas, these webinars are for you.

Join me for these "Accidental Bookkeeper" sessions:
Is Your QuickBooks Data File Headed for Disaster?

Unlike your "check engine" light, once you begin using QuickBooks, there are no warnings that pop up to alert you to potential trouble ahead.

However, within your company file, there are several sneaky ways for trouble to land in your lap.

First, do you know how big your QuickBooks data file is? This essential information you need to know! If it is too big, bad things can happen. And when I say "bad things", I'm talking about the inability to access your file at all in some cases.

Second, do you need more than 10,000 customers or inventory items? If so, QuickBooks Pro and Premier are going to croak at that point.

Get the scoop on critical information that QuickBooks isn't telling you...

Need to Access QuickBooks on Your Mobile Phone?

If so, you may be quite interested in the QuickBooks Connect add-on service.

The QuickBooks Connect service allows you to access and work with certain (but not all) areas of QuickBooks while you are away from the office. It is set up "in the cloud" and there is a monthly fee for using the service. In addition, you must be using QuickBooks 2011 in order to work with the QuickBooks Connect service.

Currently, QuickBooks Connect works on the iPhone and some BlackBerry models. Android phones are not yet supported.

By all means, take it for a test drive and be sure to understand the limitations that do exist. For some, this may be a very valuable service and very functional. For others, not so much.

Using QuickBooks Pro/Premier2008 or Mac 2007? Be Aware of Support Phase-Out Plans!

If so, keep in mind that support for all versions of QuickBooks 2008 will end on May 31, 2011.

If you are using any service that is tied into QuickBooks 2008 or Mac 2007 (i.e. QuickBooks payroll, credit card processing, e-mailing of invoices, etc.), those services will no longer work in QuickBooks 2008 after the end of May.

I wanted to let you know this now so you can get your upgrade funds in the budget for 2011.

You can always save 20% on your QuickBooks upgrades via my web site and choose from an instant download or no charge shipping on your order.
