Champions in our Hearts!

We are very proud of the Our Lady of Peace Girl's Varsity Basketball team in their quest for the state championship.

The girls lost Sunday afternoon to Saint Alphonsus of the Arch- diocese of Philadelphia in a hard fought overtime battle, 22 - 20 to claim the state runner up title.

To get to the title game they defeated Our Mother Of Sorrows from the Altoona-Johnston Diocese on Friday in overtime 26-20. On Saturday, it was another victory, this time over St. Gabriel of Pittsburgh, 43 - 34.

The members of the team and their coaches were great representatives of Our Lady of Peace School and the Diocese of Erie.

They were welcomed back to Erie and OLP as true champions. With sirens blaring from the police car and two firetruck escort, they entered the OLP parking lot to find many OLP fans there to greet them. Cheering fans with balloons, streamers and signs welcomed them back with pride

Speed BumpsSpeed Bump Tuesday -Today

Speed bumps were installed Today,

TUESDAY, MARCH 27, 2012 AT 9A.M.

Because many people are traveling at high speeds in the parking lot around OLP School and the playground we have installed four speed bumps.  These speed bumps are three feet wide and three inches high.  There are three installed behind the school building; one behind the Daily Center and two near the playground, and one at the east entrance of the parking lot off of 38th street.

The photo shows what the speed bump will look like. They are painted Yellow.

We implore everyone to slow down while driving around our campus. Everyone's safety is our concern.
