I am writing today about an urgent issue before our state legislature:
school choice. School choice legislation that includes both a voucher
program and an increase to the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC),
would help to keep Our Lady of Peace School, and all of the schools of the
Diocese of Erie, vibrant and available for generations to come. The voucher
program would gradually allow more and more parents in different income
brackets to use state dollars toward their Catholic school tuition.
I am asking you today to use the Catholic Advocacy Network to send a message to your legislators in support of school choice. You can do this with just a few clicks of the mouse.

schools. Throughout the program's existence, $10 million in funding
through this program has been made available to the Erie Diocese for student
scholarships. It is hoped that the EITC program will be expanded from its
current $75 million per year to $100 million. As noted above, school choice
will allow even more families the opportunity to receive a Catholic
