Please join us for our annual presentation of Living Stations by the Fifth and Sixth Grade students on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 1:30p.m. and again at 7:00p.m. in the OLP Church.  Our next school Liturgy is Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 9:00a.m. in the OLP Church.  Mrs. Azzato's class (KB) is planning the mass.

A Sense-sational Thank You  Sense Sational Evening

The Second Annual A Sense-sational Evening was held this past Friday evening at The Brewerie at Union Station. We appreciate the support of everyone who attended. We especially want to thank all of our sponsors of the event: The Brewerie; Promo Specialties; Allburn Florists; Romolo Chocolates; ECCA; Catrabone, Catrabone and Associates; Beer and Pop Discount Warehouse; Rohrbach Photography, Skip Knoll Inc.; Armanini and Kolodychak, L.L.P.; Quinn Law Firm; Erie Bank and Dr. and Mrs. Joshua Constable.

 

Those in attendance had a great time playing Heads or Tails, bidding on silent auction items, participating in the Chinese Auction and enjoying the great atmosphere, food, beverages and chocolates. A list of winners for the Silent and Chinese Auctions can be found by clicking here. Congratulations to all of our winners and special thanks to all of our donors for the auctions.

 

The winner of the Door Prize was Joe and Leanne Callari. The winner of the Tuition Voucher Raffle was Michael and Marie Vereb. And Donna Baker took home the Kindle and Amazon gift card as a result of being the first OLP Heads or Tails Winner.

 

Much appreciation goes out to the committee who worked for the past six months on the event: Donna Baker, Bernadette Catrabone, Stacey Constable, Becky Kolodychak, Andrea Larranaga, Erin Mourton, Natalie Padilino, Tara Prischak, Virginia Prischak and Kathy Roach.

 

Plans for the 3rd Annual A Sense-sational Evening will begin soon. We will let you know when we set a date so you can mark your calendars. Once the final figures are in for the profits, we will let you know here in The INFO.

 

Attention 8th Graders & Parents
 

Superstar is April 4, 2011.  Start looking for roomy black turtlenecks and black pants now.  We suggest you try to borrow them if you can, otherwise it's easier to purchase them (maybe even on clearance) now than in April.

 
Girl Scout News
Girl Scouts 100 Years!

 

100 Years of Girl Scouts Celebration Continues.......
OLP Girl Scouts are invited to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouts with our fellow Girl Scouts in Millcreek schools to participate in a service project.  We will be working with girls from Ridgefield, Grandview, Asbury, Vernondale, Westlake, Walnut Creek and McDowell to create 100 Easter baskets to be donated to a Bible study group within the city of Erie School District. 
 
 OLP's challenge........  To donate 100 pairs of socks to the project!!  We are asking all OLP Girl Scouts to consider donating socks - for boys or for girls.  Please get your donations to you leaders by Friday March 16 - to get a variety of sizes, please donate
Girl Scouts
socks that would be appropriate for your size - example - Daisies donate socks fitting children age 5-7, Brownies donate for childrens ages 7-9 and so on.  Also remember, socks can be for boys or girls!!  Thanks for your help in keeping Girl Scouts Service traditions alive!!!

Athletic News  

 

The Athletic Board invites candidates for the position of Head Coach of the OLP Varsity Football Team to contact President Jason Steiner for information at 836-7605.

 

Everyone is invited to attend the next Open Athletic Board Meeting on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 7:00p.m. in the OLP school cafeteria.

  

Varsity Basketball Playoffs

The OLP Boys' Varsity Basketball Team was victorious over St. George Sunday night and the Girls' Varsity Basketball Team beat St. Luke to win the AAA Championships.  The boys will now play Mt. Carmel for the Erie Region Championship on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 8:00p.m. at Mercyhurst Prep and the Girls will play Villa Elementary at 6:30p.m. at Mercyhurst Prep.

FSA News

As we begin preparations for the 2012-2013 school year, the FAMILY AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION (FSA) would like to invite all parents and caregivers to please prayerfully consider joining us.

 

The FSA Board meets once a month from September through May. The work that we do directly impacts our students, their families and our teachers!

Skating Party

The FSA will be sponsoring two skating parties for the OLP students at Evan's Skateland West.  Grades K-4 will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 6:00pm. to 8:00p.m.  Grades 5-8 will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.  Click here for more information and to send in your reservation.

 

Family Game Night

Kids vs. Kids!  Adults vs. Adults!  Kids vs. Adults!  Family vs. Family!  Bring your favorite board and card games and join your OLP family for an evening of fun!  Spread out in the cafeteria!  No worries about a cramped kitchen table or squeezing in the family room with your houseguests!  No limiting the guest list!  Take advantage of this opportunity to gather together and have a rip roaring great time with your OLP family!

7th & 8th Grade Youth Group 

The 7th and 8th Grade Youth Group has the following events scheduled:

  

March:  Friday, March 16, 2012 from 9:00p.m. - 12:00p.m. Bowling at Rolling Meadows. Permission slips for this event will be sent home closer to the event. 

April:  Sunday, April 29, 2012 - Middle School Youth Rally at St. Mark Center.  More details, click here.

June:  Monday, June 11, 2012 - Trip to Cedar Point.  Make sure that you get all of your service and spiritual activities done in order to attend.
