In Evolution - being more of you:

Sacrifice, part 2...

Mankind, man's mind, and mankind's institutions have misinterpreted - even manipulated - lots of messages from
Gods, guides, masters, and wise men and women. These misinterpretations and manipulations are meant to validate and perpetuate belief in suffering, struggle, and sacrifice.

Why do we believe these are a valid means to love, acceptance,
enjoyment, and fulfillment? Why do we believe in sacrifice?

Lots of so-called experts will say it is because of our fear of
death. To that I say...poppycock! It's not death we fear most...
its life.

Big, bold, bodacious life is what we fear most of all.

We fear truly experiencing, exploring, expanding, and enjoying
our lives. And "sacrificing" keeps us from that kind of life.

Next time you are tempted to sacrifice for anyone or anything,
take a few moments to step outside all of the paradigms and perceptions that would have you believe you need to sacrifice anything as a means to an end.

In that moment, contemplate what it is you really want to share
and what it is you really want to receive. Then look and see if
there is a genuine need for you to sacrifice anything; or if you
just believe there is.

Is it that simple? Yes.

Is it that easy? Nope. But this is a good starting point. And we
all need starting points.

More frequently than not, when it comes to making changes in
our lives - especially in our relationships - instead of just jumping
in to begin, we allow our mind and our emotions to deter us.

Deter us from actually pursuing what we need or want. (It's
that "sacrifice-thing" at work again!)

Let me offer you a little secret about that. Once you begin -
once you make the choice and take the action to begin - you possess the magic key that opens the door. That is, by employing your free will (your choice) to do something differently (your action), you are telling the Universe, "I want to change this, I
want to do it differently!"

And that is...magic. Making a choice, making a change, and
taking an action...this is where true evolution begins.

Once you activate your free will and take an action to support it,
everything within you and around you can now begin to lean
in
to assist you. There's tangible power in that.

You can use your free will to free you...from that which has you
believe you need to sacrifice for anyone or anything.

That's the power of starting points.
That's the power of your free will.
And that's the power of...God.

Whether that God be physics, Jesus, or the Buddha...remember?
"God helps those who help themselves."

That's what I'm talkin' about!! This is the tangible, real-world,
practical application of the power of God in your life; you
and your free will opening up to a power, an energy, that can help
propel you forward.

So...stop. Stop sacrificing believing it will create what you want
or need. And begin...

...begin re-wiring your life and your relationships - your
boundaries, agreements and communications - such that no sacrifice is necessary.

Would anyone who truly loves you ever want you to sacrifice a
part of your self for them?

Would you want anyone whom you truly love to sacrifice a part
of their self for you?

Is that love?

It may take some time to re-wire your life away from sacrifice.
But I can guarantee you that if you do, you will be able to
create, generate - and sustain - your life and your relationships with a whole lot more enjoyment, ease, and grace.
