In Evolution - being more of you:

Would your life be worth living without emotion?

"No matter how smart you are...

No matter how strong you are...

No matter how spiritual you are...

No matter how successful you are...

...without emotional well-being and balance you cannot

become a mature person." kelly grace smith (6.9.11)

Here's another aspect to this reality...

No matter how smart you are, no matter how strong you are,
no matter how spiritual you are, no matter how successful
you are...

...without emotion there is no enjoyment.

Seriously, without emotion there is no enjoyment...of your
body, your mind, or your spirit. Without emotion there is no...

...enjoyment.
...laughter.
...ecstasy.
...pleasure.
...tenderness.
...peace.

Neither your body, your mind - nor even your spirit - can create
enjoyment; not without your emotions. Only your emotions
can create joy, comfort, ease, excitement, passion...intimacy.

This is how crucial emotional well-being is; it impacts every
aspect of you and every area of your life.

Your mind and your body (and your spirit) connect to your emotions; work with your emotions. But they cannot create
feeling; they cannot create emotion. Only your emotional body -
the emotional aspect of you - can do that. Without emotion you cannot authentically - holistically - experience anything.

With all this in mind, how do you care for your emotional
well-being? Do you tend well to it...every day?

As human beings we are designed to be a perfect system of
checks and balances; a perfect, synchronistic harmony of
physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy.

Indeed, some of us may be more intellectual than others; more
physical, more feeling-oriented, or more spiritual than others.
However, we all function more positively, powerfully, and productively if we are engaged in an evolving process of experiencing, exploring, and expanding all four aspects of
our self.

I call it "the dance."

And when you engage in "the dance" with all of you...you
literally become more of you. You evolve.

Aren't you a better parent - or a better partner - when all of you
is healthy, balanced, and present? Aren't the most successful business leaders people who are healthy, smart, and mature?
Don't we want our political leaders - our leaders in any arena -
to embody balance, maturity, and wisdom?

The problem is we've become a society that worships the mind, rather than balances the mind well with our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Mind cannot do it all; but mind will control it all...if you allow it to.

Your mind cannot experience sensations like your body, feelings
like your emotions, nor the transcendence of spirit.

We've given our mind too much power and neglected our other
aspects, especially emotion. That's why you're witnessing so
many supposedly "successful" people behaving like adolescents.

Whether it's Sarah Palin making up the history of Paul Revere,
her followers trying to change history on Wikipedia, Arnold's
extracurricular sexual activities, Congressman Anthony Weiner's
sexting, Facebook trying to sabotage Google, or Donald Trump's latest P.R. adventure...all of these behaviors - while entertaining
to witness - are indicative of individuals who lack real emotional maturity.

We've denied our emotional immaturity with beliefs like: "that's
politics," "it's just business," "love conquers all," "that's family,"
or "it doesn't really mean anything."

Those are all illusions. Illusions that are keeping us from our
health, happiness, wisdom, creativity, innovation, enjoyment...
and our evolution as human beings.

When you tend well to your emotional balance, growth, and
well-being...you mature. When you mature you are equipped
to live a life you enjoy...regardless of the changes and
challenges
you encounter.

Emotional well-being - and maturity - is a critical component
to the health, balance, and success of who we are as individuals,
to the future of our world, and to our evolution as human beings.

Bottom line?

Without emotion there is no enjoyment.

Without emotional well-being there is no maturity.

Without emotional maturity there is no sexual maturity.

Seriously!

More next week...
