I think we often forget that what is happening in our world is a direct projection and reflection of what is happening within each of us; within ourselves, our relationships, our families, and our communities.
This message - and my work, in particular - directly addresses this synchronicity in an effort to offer you new perspectives on how we
can create a life we love and impact our world in positive, productive,
and powerful ways...
People in Egypt are doing "big things." People in Egypt are shifting
their beliefs. People in Egypt are creating real revolution.
They are shifting their beliefs about who they are from within
themselves. The shopkeeper and the grandmother, the truck driver
and the dressmaker have become protestors - revolutionaries -
standing up for themselves and one another in defiance of something
much larger and more powerful than them. As one protester said on
Saturday, "we are marching for our personal dignity and our freedom."
Reality came knocking and the Egyptian people we were willing to
answer the call and radically shift their beliefs.
The reality that people in similar circumstances - Tunisia - could stand
up and protest against their government collided with many Egyptian
people's belief that they were powerless to change the direction of
their lives and their nation.
So, they changed their belief about themselves, their power, their
lives, and their future. They banded together, peacefully, and took to
the streets to make their voices heard.
Reality collided with belief and they chose to shed old beliefs and step
courageously into a new reality. They chose to claim their power.
Violence has since erupted. Some have been injured. A few have died.
And, the outcome is as of yet, undetermined.
But most assuredly - from Egypt and Yemen, to Jordan and Tunisia
- indomitable human spirit has risen up powerfully from within
hundreds of thousands - perhaps millions - of people living in
repressed societies in the last few weeks. They have consciously and
actively chosen to shed long held beliefs and face reality full-on.
So, when you think that you have no power...no choice about your
finances or your future, your sex life or your relationships, your work
or your well-being...think again.
Allow your self to experience your reality fully, embrace your self
freely, connect to your heart, and reach down within you to
grasp your indomitable human spirit.
Grab hold of your indomitable human spirit and use it to change
anything in your life that impedes or obstructs your ability to
experience enjoyment and fulfillment...every day.
Walk like an Egyptian.
