Leadership Ocala/Marion (LOM) - 2012 will mark the 26th year of the LOM program. With over 932 graduates, LOM's mission is to educate, develop and motivate emerging leaders to be involved and committed to meeting the challenges facing our community.  Program sessions are designed by leadership graduates to focus on issues of concern in Marion County.  Held monthly in different locations, sessions include experiential learning and forums with established leaders in economic development, government, education, health care, agriculture, media, environment and culture.

Leadership Ocala/Marion Youth (LOMY) - Now in its 23rd year, LOMY is a program designed to educate and prepare high school juniors for leadership positions through learning experiences and an expanded knowledge of state and local resources and issues.  LOMY also provides the opportunity for students from area schools and diverse backgrounds to work together.  LOMY candidates must apply during the Spring of their Sophomore year to be accepted into the ten month program.

Saturday, March 10, 4 - 5:30 PM | Take down tables and chairs and removal of table cloths

 

The Chamber is seeking volunteers to assist us with the set up and break down of tables and chairs at the Paddock Mall for the Health & Wellness Expo. This is a great opportunity for students who need community service hours. Many hands make light work, so if you are able to provide us your hands, please email Tamara@ocalacc.com or call 62908051.

Today, there are more than 750 abused and neglected children whose cases are involved with the courts in our community. Most of these children are below ten years of age. Due to the limited resources of the Guardian ad Litem program, only 556 of these children are being represented - that is 73 percent of the children in need.
