On April 28, the "Feed the Need" food drive surpassed their goal and raised 8,263 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. Volunteers stood outside the Town and Country Markets in Valparaiso and Portage passing out a shopping list of essential food items for pantries asking shoppers to purchase one or more items from the list and then donate them on their way out of the store. "Feed the Need" is a partnership between four local churches including Chamber member Bridge Point Church.
