At their July Meeting, the Valpo Chamber Board of Directors heard a briefing on the strategic long-range plans of the Porter County Airport Authority. The Chamber Board was informed of the progress of the recent expansions at the Porter County Regional Airport as well as hearing of the progress of the Airport Zoning Development Plan, a major land-use review of property in and around the airport. The Porter County Regional Airport, because of the significant importance corporate aircraft usage has become as a tool for business activity, has been and continues to be a driving force attracting commercial and industrial projects to Porter County and Valparaiso in particular.
