Dear Friends of Homes of Hope
|
|
This summer, with your continuing help, and with each parish
visit of our Homes of Hope speakers - who tell our story and ask for support - we
come that much closer to our goal of building a new orphanage for the street
children of Secunderabad, India.
Right now,
these 80 precious girls sleep huddled together in tight rows on a concrete
floor. Hopefully, in a year, if we are
successful in raising the rest of the funds, they will be sleeping on a real
bed for the first time in their lives. A
wall is going up around the property, floor plans are being finalized, and we
hope (and pray) construction can soon begin. Check out www.100stepstohome.com for our progress.

Waves of HOPE
|
We have a terrific new video called
Waves of Hope posted on the web. It tells
the story of a group of Wilmington, NC surfers, who traveled 11,000 miles to
India when they heard that 23 of our girls at Home of Hope had been "left
behind" during summer vacation. Many of
our girls have a relative - somewhere - so they can go to them for
vacation. These girls had no one. Watch the video and go on a surfing safari
with our girls and see what love and fiberglass boards can do.
