Dear Friends of Homes of Hope:
The sisters
in India have reached a critical point as we work toward building a new
orphanage for the 80 street and slum children under their care in Secunderabad. How they have done it, I do not
know....but they have prayed and begged, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars
in order to purchase the land on which the orphanage will be built. As I may have told you, land is extremely
expensive in this high tech area of India.
We have funds set aside for the actual building, but first we need this
land.
The deadline for their final
payment is this Saturday, April 24.
They are just $60,000 from their
goal.
Some of you have already donated
for this land purchase, prompted by emails and calls from the many volunteers
who have served in this area and have seen the need.
I usually only come to you yearly,
asking for help. But this is an
especially pressing request.
Please help if you can. If you would be so kind, email me with your
pledge, so I can inform the sisters by mid-week how much we can help. You can mail your donation, or use PayPal on
our website.
Many thanks and God bless you all. |
