Highway of Life

When I look at this scene I think of my best friend Linda going down this country road in her "Hummer" enjoying nature, not knowing where the road leads.

But just around the next bend might be that perfect little Tea Room or Bed & Breakfast that is serving such a scrumptious scone that she will go into the kitchen and ask for the recipe and make a new friend for the next time she passes by.

Or just down at the end of the road may be that special place for that weekend hideaway overlooking a tranquil body of water which makes it almost heaven like.

Or maybe this time just stop to buy some fresh cut flowers or veggies picked from the field of a friend that she had made on a previous visit.

I hope you enjoy this newsletter. I have such fun doing it really. Of course its lots of work but its also tons of fun.

If you have a recipe or something you think would be suitable for the newsletter make sure you write to me and I will put it in. I am on a time line however so if I don't get it in time it can't go in until the next one.

Spring time is coming and I think this is a good time to let go of things that have us stuck and to get rid of as much stuff as we can.

Obviously this is coming from spirit because this is something I have to do also.

We'll do it together.

Something I have started to do and some of my friends are also trying it is to replace coffee and tea with a hot cup of water and fresh lemons.

It starts getting addicting and you no longer crave coffee and your body starts to feel better.

I knew there was something with the hot water thing as when I worked in the mundane world all the gorgeous slim Asian beauties would all drink hot water all day.

I asked on several occasions what this was all about and got the answer not sure we have always done this.

There is something to this one and I'm working it and I do feel better.

What does everyone out there do for cleansing?

Happy March everyone!

How are you handling the long winter. I'm so ready for sunshine to put a little skip in my step. It's been a long one. Thank goodness for the not so good for you tanning beds or I'd never be warm.

The one thing that has kept me happy these last few weeks is of course my lovely friends and family but also my discovery of Fiverr.

Since the inception of my lovely Psychic Cottage I have come up with so many ideas but I could never do them myself and surely couldn't afford to get them done at the moment. I had to shut down my creative ideas until another time.

I always wanted a cartoon and an animation. My imagination is wild when it comes to this stuff. I tried movie storm but it was so confusing for me.

My patient wait was worth it when I found Fiverr. It was like the world was finally at my fingertips for a pittance and my creative juices ran wild.

You will see the results of this rampage throughout this newsletter starting with my cartoon by yummy-lemons a wonderful creative cartoon artist from South Africa. I couldn't open because I was so excited to receive it I wanted to savour the moment. I was just so happy with the results. I love my little cartoon lady.

Ahh another ultra ego to contend with I guess.

Rosemary is an amazing cook. She loves to cook. It is her passion. She has agreed to give us the recipe to her famous potato and leek soup! Yummy for a cold winter day.

Rosemary's Potato and Leek Soup

4 t0 5 potatoes peel and boil then drain water and set aside

Saute 3 leeks use only the white part of leeks and one onion they are done when they are translucent about 3 min

4 cups of chicken broth

1 cup of cream

1 /4 tsp mace

salt and pepper

Put all the liquid and potatoes in a blender, add mace.

Puree until it is smooth

Put on stove low heat just to warm it up then serve

To dress it you can have fresh chives cut and sprinkle on

chedder cheese shaved
