Dear Families,
Thank you for a fantastic turnout at this week's PAC meeting! It was invigorating to hear about your ideas and enthusiasm, as well as your dedication to our school and our children. Countless studies reinforce what experience makes obvious: strong parent involvement leads to a strong school. When students see the adults in their lives cooperating, solving problems together, and supporting each other in time of need, they understand that they are part of a society where they too have a role to play.
Last year, you moved mountains. Your letters and phone calls made the busses run on time, your united voices of support helped us to win a sixth grade, and you filled our concert audiences time and again with hundreds of adoring fans. You came to events and chaperoned on field work, helped with special projects, brought in needed supplies, and worked in so many ways to support our teachers and students in their important work together.
This year, all of this and more will be possible. On Sunday, the Dudamel Orchestra will share a unique and spectacular performance with young dancers in Dance/Play. For students in the younger grades, this will be an inspiring preview into their own musical future. Let us fill the audience as we have so many times before, with the faces and hands of a powerful community, coming together to create beauty.

Warmly,
Diana Lam
Head of School
