SASC Chieftain...

If you missed the Colorado Scottish Festival & Rocky Mountain Highland Games, you missed one hum-dinger of a festival!  Everything was absolutely perfect and we had tons of folks and fun.  I can't remember when our festival has run more smoothly or when it was more enjoyable (...come to think of it, I'm a bit surprised I remember many of the festivals at all)... what a weekend!!!

Up next will be our SASC Happy Hour at Pint's Pub, 221 West 13th Street in Denver on October 7.  Don't forget our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on October 28 at the UBS offices, 10375 Park Meadows Drive, Suite 400, in Littleton.  Although this is a business meeting, bring hors d'oeuvres and enjoy quite a bit of food and socializing... besides, you get to vote on some really cool stuff.
Time flies, eh?

Sadly, I will rotate out of the elected offices at this AGM.  I must tell you that serving on your Council these past 12 years has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I have had.  I truly love our Society and the many things we do, the wonderful people we have and the groups and good works that we support. It has been both an honor and a pleasure to have served our Society over my tenure, and I will continue to contribute wherever I can over the coming years.  Thank you so much for putting up with all of my antics and oddities, but in the end we are all here to have fun... and you can't say I didn't give that part the old college try!

Yours Aye,

Larry Hay

We know there are A LOT of you who want to perform and to help us keep track of all of your information needed to coordinate this show, we have devised a survey.

If you plan to dance in this show, please provide us with answers to the questions in our online survey by clicking here (even if you already replied to Jamie previously):

TAKE THE SURVEY

(This will give us information about dates you can attend, dances you know, costumes available, participation in choreography, etc.  If you have multiple dancers in your family, you will need to complete the survey for each dancer.)

We have also developed a large group choreography that almost every RMHD dancer can participate in (Primary dancers and young, new Beginners will have their own piece).  In order to participate in this choreography, you will need to commit to attending a mandatory practice on Wednesday, Sept. 28th at 6:30 at The Church of the Ascension on 6th & Gilpin.  You will be asked in the survey if you are interested and available to be a dancer in this piece.  We need Beginner - Premier Dancers, so even if you are involved with other choregraphies and are available to do this too please join us, it will be the FINALE of the show!

Please take just 2 minutes to complete this survey no later than September 26th, 2011.  If you do not complete this survey by 9/26/11, we will assume you are not available to dance with us that weekend.  Thank you.
