On Sunday, January 2nd, the first interfaith "Storahtelling" program in Colorado took place at Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden, CO. Rabbi Birdie Becker, '10 co-produced and presented "Face to Face," a creative adaptation of Chapter 32 in Genesis, serving as the centerpiece of the congregation's worship service that morning, and attended by over 350 people during two separate services. Storahtelling is a fusion of storytelling, Torah, contemporary performance art and traditional ritual theater. It has grown into an international network of educators and artists. Rabbi Becker became one of seven 'Mile High Storahtelling Mavens', trained individuals who bring innovation to the Torah service, in 2008. In addition to being the Program Director for "Storahtelling Colorado," Rabbi Becker serves as Rabbi of Temple Emanuel in Pueblo, CO.
