Seniors Living in the Jewish Tradition
April 2010 E-news is produced by the Development Department |
Shalom Y'All,
I just returned from the annual AJAS (Association of Jewish Aging Services) conference in Atlanta having met colleagues from the US, Canada, England and Australia. This was a remarkable experience that I will gladly share with you. (Hint: Call me anytime!)
As we played the game of "Jewish Geography" and attended to the business of best practices in our industry, what became readily apparent is that we are a people of storytellers. Our stories express shared values, shared conscience and shared purpose. From one region to the next, one country to the next and one generation to the next; we aspire to care for our Jewish elderly with dignity and respect.
Heritage Pointe is a standout among its peers.
As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary year, I urge you to share the pride of your support, and I encourage you to continue to forward all Heritage Pointe news to your family and friends.
Keep telling the story.
With appreciation,
Ellen Weiss

On Tuesday, March 30th, Heritage Pointe was featured on the front cover of the Orange County Register! Our Passover Seder celebration from the night before was the top story. Click on the link below to read the online version of the feature:

On Sunday, April 18th, Tarbut V'Torah High School students had the opportunity to visit with four residents at Heritage Pointe, all of whom are Holocaust survivors. Our Founder & Volunteer Coordinator, Loretta Modelevsky, described the experience for these lucky students as "remarkable." The opportunity to hear their stories is priceless.
