This Thursday, June 10th from 6-8pm Artworks! Partners for the Arts in New Bedford, MA will kick off the film portion of its month long exhibit "To Tell A Story."  Included are filmmakers from the South Coast of Massachusetts and beyond who will screen films, discuss their work and display storyboards, script pages, production photos, props and concept art.  Thursday's event is an evening where you can meet the filmmakers who are participating throughout the month.  It also coincides with New Bedford's free monthly AHA! night when the city comes to life with arts, performance, open art studios and more.

The following night, Friday June 11th from 7 - 8:30 pm writer-director Chris Hassan of Shattered Glass Films kicks off the official screening portion of "To Tell A Story" with three short films and a discussion. He'll be followed by weekly presentations from other filmmakers.

In addition to film, "To Tell A Story" features artists of all kinds who are bridging narrative with 2D and 3D digital art. It's curated by Mark Medeiros of Slocum Design Studio and Karen Alves Cronin of Design Principles Inc.

We're really excited to see the budding film scene merge with the vibrant arts community in the South Coast of Massachusetts. Check out this creative community... with the filmmakers in attendance it promises to be better than any DVD supplemental you've ever seen!
