Many people find themselves visiting an orthopaedic doctor because of an accident--a broken bone after a fall, or a sprained ligament from tripping on a curb, for instance. Some injuries can absolutely not be avoided. However, our friends at the National Safety Council have put together a campaign to amplify what our mothers have always told us: "Watch what you're doing!" *OAA in the News*
Last week, OAA hosted Peruvian medical students for a day as they learned about healthcare in the United States. The visit was part of a week-long introduction to the US medical system, which was sponsored by DeSales University. All students are practicing doctors and dentists who are pursuing Masters degrees in business administration, with a concentration in healthcare systems management.
