Transliterated Shabbat & Holiday Prayerbooks Now Available For Use at TI
|
Tikvat Israel now offers congregants and guests the opportunity to learn Hebrew and gain confidence as they pray during Shabbat and Festival services with the help of the Hebrew Prayers Learning Series Phonetic Transliterated Egalitarian Siddur. It provides a word-for-word translation and transliteration and is specifically designed and intended for congregations like ours that use Siddur Sim Shalom, our regular Shabbat and Festival prayerbook. Thanks to the efforts and support of Nancy and Rodney Matheson and Bobbi and Larry Gorban, five of these new siddurim will be available starting this Shabbat. Look for them on the table outside the Sanctuary.

Remembering Charlotte Zeidman
|
| |

Don't miss a wonderful tribute to the one and only Charlotte Zeidman, z"l, on the Tikvat Israel website, which you can read here.
Two months before she died, Charlotte sat for a videotaped interview conducted by Rimonim Center 8th grader Lital Elfassi for a class project on our synagogue's history. One result of that interview is a series of three short audio clips that are accessible now on the synagogue's home page. The clips are titled: "Celebrating Charlotte" (3:55), "Charlotte's Role in the Synagogue" (1:30) and "TI's Early Days: Charlotte Remembers" (3:46).
