Outdoors Havurah for Adults: Planning Meeting Set for Aug 29
|
The Music Havurah program on "The Music of Shlomo Carlebach," originally scheduled for this Sunday, August 22, has been postponed. Please watch B'kesher for the announcement of a rescheduled date.
Do you long to be outdoors? Do you like to be active? Are you interested in hiking, sailing, tennis, bowling, and camping? If so, a new Tikvat Israel havurah is forming just for you. This group is for adults; if you are interested in an Outdoor Havurah with your children, a separate meeting will be set up shortly. Please reply to TI Havurah Coordinator Amy Matathias (301-570-4496; TIhavurah@aol.com) with your name and contact information. A planning meeting, followed by a hike, is set for Sunday, August 29, from 3-5 pm at the synagogue.

Yasher Koach!
|
A note from Broadman-Kaplan Early Childhood Center Director Rori Pollak:
On
behalf of the BKECC staff and kids, I would like to express a huge
yasher koach to three volunteer young adults who assisted our classroom
staff this summer and consistently went above and beyond the call of duty -
Lital Elfassi Daniel Mintz Sarah Wagner
They are mitzvah heroes in the eyes of the ECC kids and staff.
